how to install the chip

Most Modern ECUs can be programmed via "Onboard Diagnosis" (OBD). I.e. the ECU is accessed with a connector Plug just like the manufacturer's do.
Thereby it is possible for the Optimization to be done without a trace

Another version is "Flashing" as the programming of the ECU in the non-installed status. There are different ways of backfitting according to the type and age of the car.

On older cars the factory made data storage has to be brazed out to replace the old data with the optimized data.

Therefore the known name "Chip-Tuning" is deflected.

Example of brazing and installation of a pluggable socket:
The installation of our "easy plug-in" socket system in a model 2000 control unit from Bosch. Below, is an example of an opened Electronic Control Unit (ECU). Older versions of ECUs contained sockets, which allowed chips to be exchanged through a simple plug-in. Today's ECUs have the programmable chips soldered onto the board.(in this example) We remove this soldered chip and install our exclusive socket, allowing the customer the flexibility of swapping between the stock program or performance program.
The stock chip is in place before the process begins
Using special desoldering equipment the stock chip is removed from the circuit board. After cleaning the pads on the board, the "Easy plug in" socket is installed. Next the connections between the pins of the socket and the pads on the board are tested.
After checking of all connections we install the new performance module
The stock chip is also mounted onto an "easy-plug-in" adaptor. This allows the car to be returned to stock specifications at any time.
